About Helen

 Kia ora, I’m Helen.

I’ve been working with leather for over twenty years. I spent twelve of them making bags for other New Zealand labels, learning every stitch, pattern and finish, before launching my own label in 2016.

Today, every Helen Miller bag is made by me, by hand, in my studio in Titirangi, West Auckland. Nothing is pulled off a shelf or made in a factory. You choose the style, the leather and the lining, and I make it just for you. That’s what makes each bag bespoke, and the reason no two are quite the same.

Made to be used, made to last

I design bags for real life: for work, school runs, travel and nights out. I use beautiful soft but strong leathers, solid brass hardware, YKK zips and bright, patterned linings that make you smile every time you open your bag.

Repaired for life

Every bag comes with my R.R.R promise: I’ll repair, restore or refresh it for as long as you own it. A good leather bag should get better with age, and I’m here to help it along.
